A trip to the famous historic town of Freiburg, capital of the region in which we live, is a must for any visitor, with its beautiful cathedral, museums, shops and lively market square. Visitors on a longer stay might like to go further afield and compare it with the ancient towns of Strasbourg and Thann in France, or Basel in Switzerland.  St Peter’s is close to both the French and Swiss borders, so all of these places are certainly do-able as day-trips.
